The Ron Cristóbal series presents a range of premium rums for the adventurers of the world! Named after the famous world explorer Christopher Colombus and bearing his portrait, this rum is produced in the Dominican Republic and showcases the unique rum flavours this region has to offer.

Within the Ron Cristóbal series you’ll find rums suitable for cocktails and bars as well as two premium rums named after Colombus’ ships. The range pays homage to the historical aspects of drinking rum; and every sip is a new adventure!

Pinta Nose: Very pleasant and mild with warm vanilla aromas combined with a delicate woodyness followed by hints of fresh mint.

Palate: A mild sweetness is filling the mouth turning into fresh mint and marcipan. This rum is fresh, juicy and easy drinkable. It’s very balanced and has a subtle wooden note.

40% VOL. 0,7 cl 6-8 years Dominican Republic Ron Cristóbal Pinta Cristóbal Pinta is a premium rum blend from the Dominican Republic tropically aged in ex-Bourbon cask. Pinta was the first ship Christopher Columbus used to sail across the Atlantic ocean in 1492. It was the fastest ship and it’s said that its sailor Rodrigo de Triana was the first man of the crew to see The New World on 12 October 1492.
Nina Nose: Incredibly complex and balanced. The bouquet is sprinkled with unripe strawberries and flowery notes, rounded off by hints of fresh oak and crème Brulée with a caramelized sugar top.

Palate: Lush flavors of mint chocolate and marshmallows. The finish is gentle and soft with notes of vanilla leaving a silky mouthfeel.

40% VOL. 0,7 cl 8-12 years Dominican Republic Ron Cristóbal Niña Cristóbal Niña is a premium rum blend, tropically aged for 8 to 12 years in ex-Bourbon
cask. The ship followed Columbus on several of his adventures towards America. Due
to the mutiny in the colony and the lack of funds, Columbus had to sell the ship.
The ship’s destiny is unknown.
Santa Maria Port Nose: Influences of a rather fruity than nutty port wine with lush aromas of blackberry and cinnamon. Spicy notes of cloves and anis with a hint of chocolate.

Palate: Sweet and full bodied with a buttery mouthfeel, notes of vanilla, red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries and a touch of sweet chili spice.

46% VOL. 0,7 cl N/A Dominican Republic Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria Port Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria is a premium rum series of limited editions. This Santa Maria edition received a second maturation in ex-Port wine casks made of European oak for a period of 23 months. This Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria Port Limited Edition has been distilled in 2006 and was bottled in August 2020 with an outturn of 779 bottles.
Santa Maria Pinot Noir Nose: Starting off with a bit of brimstone, the rum develops delicious fruity aromas of juicy raspberries and blackberries followed by a fresh note of green leaves. Sweet notes of caramel and hibiscus.

Palate: Sweet red fruit jelly with a silky mouthfeel. The palate carries some light acidity coming from the Pinot Noir. The finish is
medium long with notes of creamy Latte Macchiato and a hint of wood.

This Santa Maria edition received a second maturation in Pinot Noir wine casks from the Austrian wine maker Johanneshof Reinisch for a period of 15 months. This Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria Pinot Noir Limited Edition has been distilled in 2006 and was bottled in August 2020 with an outturn of 396 bottles.
Santa Maria Oloroso Nose: A heavy style rum with deep & warm aromas of leather, walnuts, melted brown sugar and roasted coffee.

Palate: Fantastic nutty notes from the Oloroso cask with a subtle fruityness. The finish is mild and pleasant with a bitter touch in the end.

This Santa Maria edition received a second maturation in ex-Oloroso casks made of European oak for a period of 17 months. This edition has been distilled in 2006 and was bottled in August 2020 with an outturn of 1487 bottles.
Santa Maria Vintage 2007 Nose: This rum needs some time in the glass to delevop its full character with notes of juicy tangerines and vanilla.

Palate: Sharp at first sight turning into pleasant aromas of ripe oranges with a bitter touch of dark chocholate. The finish is long an d fruity.

The rum is tropically aged only in the warm climates of the Dominican Republic. Santa Maria Vintage 2007 was bottled in August 2020 with an outturn of 1174 bottles.
Blanco Nose: Gentle aromas of sugarcane with a flowery touch of hibiscus and and a slightly grassy note.

Palate: A mild sweetness is filling the mouth turning into notes of coconut and sugar cane. This rum is fresh, juicy and easy drinkable. It’s very balanced and has a pleasant finish.

Oro Nose: An aromatic palette of aromas with fruity notes of fresh raspberries with a gentle acidity, warm notes of vanilla and maple syrup followed by balancing herbaceous hints.

Palate: Smooth on the palate with an overall light profile with silky notes of milkchocolate finishing on a herbal note.

Production

 

Ron Cristóbal is produced, distilled and fermented in the Dominican Republic. The rum is produced by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos who harvest their own sugarcanes, making sure the rum consists of crops purely from the Dominican Republic.

Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos is the largest producer of alcohol in the Dominican Republic, and thereby the company plays a significant role in the community, securing work for hundreds of locals.
